Challenging Practice – Group Booking

£395.00

Introduction

What happens when something is witnessed in the workplace that isn’t illegal or a safeguarding concern, but raises questions about “best practice” and “best interest” for supported individuals? This question forms the basis of our Challenging Practice course, designed to give participants the confidence to raise their concerns and step in against potentially harmful or negligent practice.

Learning Outcomes

  • To understand what we mean by “best practice” and “best interest”, and how they can be maintained in the workplace.
  • To learn about the definition, principles and legal protections of “whistleblowing”.
  • To recognise the importance of best practice and best interest, and understand the consequences that may arise when they aren’t followed.
  • To identify risk factors that may contribute to harmful or negligent practice and how these factors can be minimised.
  • To have the knowledge and confidence needed to effectively raise concerns and give feedback when best practice isn’t being followed.
  • To encourage open, honest conversations about best practice and best interest in the workplace.
