Effective Communication and Care Planning – Group Booking

£495.00

Introduction

Verbal and non-verbal communication is unique to every individual, especially in care settings where staff need to understand the individuals that they support. Effective Communication & Care Planning explores the principles of communication, the importance of effective communication, and how communication (verbal and non-verbal) can be adapted to meet the needs of the individual. Using these skills, trainees will then learn about how communication can be implemented for effective, legally defensible care plans and risk assessments.

Learning Outcomes

  • To identify the different verbal and non-verbal ways in which people communicate, and how they can be adapted to suit the communicative needs of supported individuals.

  • To provide more effective care plans tailored to the specific physical and/or mental health needs of the supported individual.
  • To ensure that care plans and risk assessments are accurate, effective and legally defensible.
