Learning Outcomes

- To have a knowledge and understanding of the anatomy and physiology relating to these clinical intervention
- Indications and Contra Indications for a stoma
- To understand the different types, Colostomy, Ileostomy, Urostomy, Loop or End
- Daily care of a stoma and possible complications
- To explore the various products that is available to use with a stoma, 1 piece, 2 piece and the impact on daily life
- Consider the difficulties that you may encounter supporting somebody with a stoma.
