Introduction
This train-the-trainer facilitator course is an NCFE Customised qualification.
Facilitator:Â Will be able to teach RSE to groups or 1:1 for people they support.
Tutor:Â Must have AET (or other teaching qualification) and will then be able to teach staff groups courses surrounding LD and RSE. This will also come with a half day session on how to use the assessment and teaching materials.
Tutor plus AET:Â As above but with the AET in the same week.
Learning Outcomes
- To understand the safeguarding and legal aspects of Learning Disabilities and Sex.Â
- To know the boundaries in delivering this topic and where to access support.Â
- To recognise the barriers and strengths when teaching people with a learning disability.
- To be able to risk assess and adapt sessions dynamically.
- To know the course content required for holistic education.
